Background removal guides
Short, practical pages for the jobs people actually bring to a background remover, each one shown with real output from this tool.
Removing a background is usually the middle of a task, not the end of it. You want a product photo that a marketplace accepts, a CV photo that looks calm and professional, or a logo that sits cleanly on a coloured slide. These guides start from that task and walk through what to upload, what to expect and what to do when the cutout is not quite right.
Every picture in them comes from the same place: a public domain or CC0 photo from Wikimedia Commons, uploaded through this live site the way you would upload yours. Timings and file sizes were measured. When the model gets something wrong, the guide shows that too, because knowing where automatic removal fails saves you more time than another perfect demo.
Where to start
- Never used a background remover before: read how transparent PNG works first, it explains the checkerboard and why the result is always a PNG.
- Got a result with a halo, missing hair or a hole in the subject: see the examples to check whether your case is a known weak spot, then try the fixes in the guides above.
- Worried about where your photo goes: what happens to your photo explains retention on this site and on others.

If your use case is missing, write to support@background-remover-free.com with what you were trying to make. Requests that come up more than once become a guide.
